Speed Run and Time Trial on 10 × 10 (tables 2 to 10) are free forever, with unlimited practice. A one-time purchase unlocks Versus, 12 × 12 tables, Pick Your Planets and Tricky Ones. There's no subscription and no ads.

Tap any locked item, or Unlock everything on the Home screen, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.

Yes. The unlock is shared with Family Sharing, so everyone in your family group gets it without buying again. On their device, open the unlock screen and tap Restore Purchases if it doesn't appear straight away.

Answers are read from handwriting, so clear digits work best. Write the number large, inside the writing pad, with the digits side by side. Multiply shows what it read under the question (“Zip reads”), and the eraser button clears the pad to try again.

A fact becomes tricky when it's answered wrong or takes longer than 3 seconds. Get it right three times in a row, quickly, and it flies away. Tricky facts are spotted in every game, free or unlocked, and Tricky Ones lets you practise just those.

Lay one iPhone or iPad flat between 2 to 4 players. Each player gets their own writing pad facing their seat. Everyone sees the same question, and the first right answer scores. A wrong answer locks that player out until the next question. Each question has 10 seconds, and a match is 10, 15 or 20 questions. Most points wins.

It's left out on purpose. The 1s are easy, so practice time goes to the tables that need it.

Yes, through iCloud, when you're signed in with the same Apple Account. Best scores, recent Time Trial runs, tricky facts and Versus player names sync. Sound settings stay on each device. Signed out of iCloud, everything still saves on the device.

Game Center is optional. Multiply never asks your child to sign in. To use it, sign in from Settings › Game Center on the device, then reopen Multiply. A trophy button appears on the Home screen. Only full-table runs go on the leaderboards. Pick Your Planets and Tricky Ones games aren't compared.

Tap the speaker button on the Home screen. Multiply also stays silent when your device's Ring/Silent switch is set to silent.
